Things to do and visit
The Lummelund Cave, located 13 km north of Visby, is an underground long and narrow riverbed in the limestone mountain. In total, the cave has a walking length of four kilometers, making it Sweden's second longer cave. The temperature in the cave is between 8-12 plus degrees and maintains this temperature all year round.
The Almedalen is perhaps best known as the "Almedals week" on Gotland. Almedalen is a park facility in central Visby, which during the Middle Ages was used as the old port. Here is the Powder Tower, the oldest tower of the ring wall, where the inauguration of the Medieval Week takes place every year.
At Gotland you will find several nature reserves with rauks, both in the north and the south. Virgo Nature Reserve is one of the most tourist-friendly places. There is also a real bird life here.
