Guided Cycling Tours
We offer 3 tours, all starting and ending at our bike rental station Muff in central Älmhult. Tours can start at 08:00 with arrival back at Muff by 11:30 in time for a delicious lunch or departure after lunch at 13:30 with arrival back at Muff by 17:00. Picnics can also be provided.
All our tours are at a leisurely pace, adapted to the wishes and ability of the group

LINNÉS RÅSHULT
(24-35KMS)
Linnés Råshult (24kms) - We cycle on small well maintained gravel roads through the idyllic Småland nature out to the birthplace of Carl Linnaeus (Carl von Linné), the world renowned Swedish botanist. We take a stroll around the gardens and visit the well preserved original buildings from Linnés time. We then cycle back to Älmhult on some other fine gravel roads past beautiful lakes and through dense unspoilt forest. Based on group size and availability we can also arrange an excellent guided tour and talk about Linné.
VAKÖ MYR NATURE RESERVE

Vakö Myr nature reserve (22kms) - This tour to a very special site of natural interest combines cycling and walking. We follow small paved and gravel roads through some beautiful Småland countryside, parking the bikes at the half-way point. We then take an easy walk out to Vakö Myr, the site of one of the largest peat-moor fires in the south of Sweden in modern times. We take in the beautiful forest views and wonder at nature’s ability to recover after such catastrophic events. After the walk back to the bikes, we ride back to Älmhult following a different route along quiet roads and trails.
TAXÅS NATURE RESERVE &
LINNÉS RÅSHULT

Taxås nature reserve and Linnés Råshult (35kms) - This tour combines a ride out to the beautiful unspoilt Taxås nature reserve where we can also take a short walk through the forest and along the shores of Lake Möckeln. We then ride back via Råshult, the birthplace of Carl Linnaeus where we can take a tour around the gardens and preserved historic buildings. The entire tour is on quiet, winding country roads and gravel trails.

Our guide Iain can arrange anything from short forest trail rides to long and challenging road bike routes on quiet paved roads. We can accomodate groups up to 12 and our tours are ideal for teambuilding, celebration parties and groups who want to experience our beautiful surroundings on two wheels. We also offer all sorts of catering options, from sandwiches and picnics through to full dinner & catering after bike.
